the financial position of the Asile and am satisfied that though there are sufficient funds to allow of the erection of the proposed buildings, it would be impossible for the Institution to acquire the site by purchase in the open market.

that the area in question is about 90,000 Square feet in extent. Calculating the premium at 15 cents ($13,500) and the Crown Rent at $175 per acre capitalised at 5% ($7,200), the value of the area may be stated at $20,700.

I have informed the Asile de la Sainte
the Enfance that the question of grant of this land would be sub- mitted to you for favourable consideration, and have stipulated with them that no infectious diseases hospital will be put up within the area, and no cases of infectious disease there treated. This stipulation,which was recommended by the Sanitary Board, has been agreed to.
